Muharram is a time when we remember the great sacrifice Imam Hussein (as) made for Allah (swt). He sacrificed what was most precious to him... his family. Al Zahra Foundation is appealing to the followers of Imam Hussein (as) to sacrifice what is most precious to them, to you, to all of us..our TIME. Time is the most precious commodity we have, and just by devoting just 10 minutes of our working day in the form of £1 per day,  we can change the lives of others.. a sacrifice which is nothing in comparison to our Holy Imams however in the same spirit of making a sacrifice, we can make a great difference in the lives of these needy orphans who sometimes have no one to turn to.
 
 On a UK salary, based on the average minimum wage it takes 10 mins to make approx a £1. That is all that an orphan is asking for - 10 minutes a day which can provide them food, shelter, and a chance to look forward to a better future.
